Artist Commission: Stump to Sluice, UK

We are looking for an experienced and innovative artist who can work with the Witham Central and Carlton Road Neighbourhood Action Group, local residents and young people to create a series of beautiful, inspiring, themed, cast metal finials. These will create an inspiring trail route from the door of St Botolph’s Parish Church, (The Stump) in the centre of the town to the outlying council estates.

The deadline for all proposals is 9am on Monday 14th November 2016. Applications received after this time will not be accepted, however may be kept on file for future reference.

Interviews for successful applicants will take place on Monday 12th December 2016 at The Len Medlock Centre, St Georges Road, Boston, PE21 8YB.

Successful commissions can commence immediately after receipt of signed contracts where appropriate.

Greystones Educate Together National School appointed a voluntary committee with relevant expertise to oversee the per cent for art commissioning process. An external curator, Máire Davey, was appointed specifically for her expertise in working in a highly collaborative way as meaningful involvement from the students and school was viewed as central to the process. The procurement route chosen was limited invited competition.
