Editor's pick: Efflorescence - temporary site specific installation by Martina Coyle, Balbriggan
Efflorescence is a temporary site specific sculpural installation by artist Martina Coyle on Railway Street, Balbriggan and is on display until Thursday 11 March.
Commissioned by Fingal County Council, Martina Coyle seeks to evoke memories of the former Smyth and Co Textile factory in Balbriggan by installing a fullsize recreation of a bridge which once linked the factory's two main buildings using silk, cotton and original beadwork patterns associated with the factory's famous silk stockings 'Balbriggans' with UV light.
