Opportunity: National Cancer Screening Service commission, Galway and Cork

The National Cancer Screening Service are inviting submissions for one or more art projects associated with the new BreastCheck facilities located at the following addresses: BreastCheck Western Unit, Newcastle Road, Galway and BreastCheck Southern Unit, Infirmary Road, Cork

The maximum budget for the design(s), supply and fix for this project will be €50,000 inclusive of all costs, expenses, VAT, insurance and other charges necessary for completion including installation. The NCSS will pay a fee of €500 to each of a maximum of four artists shortlisted to Stage 2.

The competition is open to a wide range of visual artwork. There is a flexible
approach to the media and nature of the project and its location. It is envisaged that the applicant may look for inspiration in the social and cultural context of each
location.
