“Museum of the Refound”, 24 - 28 June 2013. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Bayno, Liberties College, Bull Alley, Dublin 8. A project resulting from a Create ‘Artist In The Community Scheme’ with artist Laragh Pittman and the International Women’s Group at the Lantern Centre, Synge St, Dublin 8. “Early in 2012 a group of women adventurers started an expedition, a journey to explore the local territory of Dublin. The women all live in Dublin. Some came originally from Ireland, others came from England, France, India, Sri Lanka, Columbia, Uganda, Somalia, the Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. Each foray started out from their base camp in the Lantern Centre in Synge Street. They took recording instruments and documentary tools on their journeys. The map made of their discoveries is displayed in the Museum, as are the artefacts they collected and the results of their research.” www.museumoftherefound.ie
