Artist to work in an engaged process with the local community in Co Fermanagh. North of Ireland. Budget £30,000 stg. Deadline 10/10/14

Carrowshee Park / Sylvan Hill Community Association Co Fermanagh, North of Ireland.

Carrosyl (Carrowshee Park & Sylvan Hill) is calling for expressions of interest from artists for a new artwork for its community. The Community Association is seeking to commission an artist to work on a project which will involve close community engagement during the design and production of the final piece of artwork.

A “Facilitating Artist” has been employed to engage and consult with the local community and to prepare a report, which in turn has resulted in this Artist’s Brief.

The total budget available for the artwork is £30,000 sterling (including VAT).

The project’s Steering Group is now running an open, two-stage competition, and is inviting Expression of Interests from artists/design teams, from which it can shortlist artists to work up detailed proposals.

The deadline for receipt of Expressions of Interest is 10th October 2014. Late submissions will not be accepted.

A maximum of 3 artists/design teams will be shortlisted from this open call. Shortlisted artists/design teams will be notified by week commencing 20th October. Worked up proposals, including moquettes if supplied, will be presented by shortlisted artists, in person to the Steering Group on 19th November 2014.
