First World War Commemorative Sculpture Commission, The National Tramway Museum

Description

The National Tramway Museum wish to commission an artist to design and produce a sculpture to commemorate tramway workers who lived, worked and were affected by the First World War. The Museum is initially inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced sculptors.

Public Art Commission, Knights Wood Housing Development, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Description

The Dandara Group, working with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are seeking proposals from artists and designers to create a statement sculptural work to be located in the Village Square of Knights Wood, a new housing development in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The project budget is £25,000 and this includes design, fabrication, materials, transport, installation including any ground works, fees and expenses.

An open day at the development site will be held on Saturday 5th November 11am - 1pm.

Description

Expressions of interest are invited from artists with experience of working in the public realm to develop a site-specific artwork, or series of artworks. The artwork should enhance the setting for the new student accommodation and reference the unique heritage and context of Mill Road, Cambridge.  The budget for the project is £46,000.

Description

Red Brick field is a parcel of 0.534 hectares of greens space serving residential properties in Red Brick estate, Barne Barton Plymouth. Historically part of a former school playing fields, Red Brick field provides a level space for recreation. We would like to commission an original and distinctive proposal for improvements that activate the space, enhance the function and identity of the field, and encourage greater use by the community. These will include a gateway sculpture, play features, seating features, signage/waymarking and gating improvements. The design proposal should respond to ideas of community identity and heritage. The total budget is £30,000.

We are also interested in proposals solely for the gateway sculpture.

Greystones Educate Together National School appointed a voluntary committee with relevant expertise to oversee the per cent for art commissioning process. An external curator, Máire Davey, was appointed specifically for her expertise in working in a highly collaborative way as meaningful involvement from the students and school was viewed as central to the process. The procurement route chosen was limited invited competition.
