It presents an overview of newspaper coverage of art and artists in Ireland in the last fifty years, with photographs and articles drawn from national dailies and a selection of regional titles along with a series of contextual notes. With an emphasis on the social realities that cultural production has encountered in Ireland, several topics repeatedly arise in its pages: conservative reactions to the introduction of modern art into the country, vandalism of artworks, and the newsworthy character of artists with their many inventive ideas and schemes are all prominent.

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
